FAQ

FAQ

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can benefit anyone who wants to better understand themselves, address challenges, or achieve personal growth. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with a specific issue, therapy could be a helpful resource.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer various approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy. During your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your needs to determine the best approach for you.

How do I choose the right therapist?

Look for a therapist whose experience matches your needs and with whom you feel comfortable. It’s okay to ask about their training, specialties, and approach during an initial consultation. Building a trusting relationship is key.

Do you accept insurance, and what are the costs?

Unfortunately, insurance is not accepted at this time, only self pay options are currently available. Our session rates are $220.00.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity to share your concerns and goals. Your therapist will ask questions to understand your situation and explain how therapy works. Together, you'll decide on a plan moving forward.

How often do I need to attend therapy?

Frequency varies based on individual needs. Most people start with weekly sessions, but this can be adjusted as progress is made. We’ll regularly discuss what works best for you.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential, with some exceptions, such as situations involving harm to yourself or others. We’ll explain these limits clearly in your first session.

How long does therapy usually take?

The length of therapy depends on your goals and challenges. Some people benefit from short-term therapy (a few months), while others find long-term support helpful.

Can I switch therapists if it’s not a good fit?

Absolutely. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If you feel the connection isn’t right, let us know, and we’ll help you find someone better suited to your needs.

What issues can therapy help with?

Therapy can address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and life transitions. It’s also helpful for personal growth and stress management.
